Management of Offenders etc. (Scotland) Act 2005

Integrated Management Of Offenders

Section 13 – Scheme of accreditation and procedure etc. of the Risk Management Authority

95.Section 13 amends provisions in the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2003 to ensure that functions of the Risk Management Authority can be delegated to committees, board members and staff (section 13(3)), and that the accreditation scheme to be made under section 11 of that Act can provide for decisions on accreditation and on appeals to be taken by separate committees of the RMA (section 13(2)). Without this amendment it would not be clear whether powers can be conferred on or delegated to committees of the RMA or to members of its staff. By virtue of section 24, this section comes into force on Royal Assent.
