Section 172 – Abolition of adjudication in security

512.Adjudication in security is similar to adjudication for debt but is available only in relation to future or contingent debts. Section 172 abolishes adjudication in security. Adjudication for debt is abolished by section 79 (see paragraphs 236 and 237 above). (See also paragraph 681681 below for a general description of what is meant by “future” and “contingent” debts).
