Subsection (2) applies where—
a
the child in respect of whom a permanence order is to be made is subject to a supervision requirement, and
b
the appropriate court is satisfied that, were it to make a permanence order in respect of the child, compulsory measures of supervision in respect of the child would no longer be necessary.

The court must make an order providing that, on the making of the permanence order, the supervision requirement ceases to have effect.
