Paragraph 3 – Objections

285.Paragraph 3 entitles any person to object to a proposed flood protection scheme. Valid objections must be made in writing (including by electronic means so long as legible and useable) and include the name and address of the objector. These objections must be made to the local authority within 28 days from the date notice of the proposed scheme is published in local newspapers. Sub-paragraph (4) defines a “late objection” for the purposes of schedule 2.
