Interpretation and Legislative Reform (Scotland) Act 2010

Part 5: Laying of Documents Other Than Scottish Statutory Instruments

105.Section 54 makes provision as to what is meant when an enactment requires or authorises a document other than an SSI, or a draft SSI, to be laid before the Parliament (for instance the annual report of a Government agency). Like section 32 (which explains what laying an SSI or draft SSI before the Parliament means) laying other documents before the Parliament is defined to mean taking such action as the Parliament’s standing orders require.
