Part 3 – General

Section 16 – Commencement

47.This section makes provision for commencement.  Subsection (1) enables the Scottish Ministers to commence Parts 1 and 2 on a date or dates appointed by order.  Part 3 of the Act (sections 16 and 17) comes into force on the day after Royal Assent.

Section 17 – Short title

48.This section provides for the short title of the Act.

Schedule

49.The schedule lists the authorities which must comply with the records management duties under Part 1 of the Act. The list of authorities can be amended by order under section 2.
