  • FEC – further education corporation

  • FEI – further education institution

  • HMRC – Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs

  • ONS – Office for National Statistics

  • FHEA 1992 – the Further and Higher Education Act 1992

  • THEA 1998 – the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998
