The Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2005

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34(2)(b) and 35(1) of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004(1), hereby make the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2005.

Appointed Day

2.  3rd May 2005 is the day appointed for the coming into force of section 17 and Schedule 1 (Additional Support Needs Tribunals for Scotland) of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 3rd May 2005 section 17 of and Schedule 1 to the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004. Section 17 creates the Additional Support Needs Tribunals for Scotland (“the Tribunals”) and introduces Schedule 1. Schedule 1 makes provision about the constitution, appointment to and procedures of the Tribunals, and other matters.
