EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Medicines (Termination of Transitional Exemptions) (No. 1) Order 1972 appointed 1st September 1972 as the day upon which the transitional exemptions from the licensing requirements of the Medicines Act 1968 (section 16) ceased to have effect in relation to anything done on or after that day, except in relation to ingredients that are medicinal products (section 130(1)(b) and (3) of that Act) and wholesale dealing in certain medicinal products for human use only.
