Provisions coming into force on 1st February 1993

3.  The following provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 shall come into force on 1st February 1993—

  • section 106(1) to (3), (6) and (7),

  • section 107(1) to (7) and (9) to (11),

  • section 108(1)(a) (in so far as it relates to the import or acquisition of genetically modified organisms),

  • section 110 (in so far as it relates to the import, acquisition, release or marketing of genetically modified organisms),

  • section 111(6), (6A)(1) and (8) to (10),

  • section 112(1), (2) and (5)(2) to (7),

  • section 114(4) and (5),

  • section 115(1) to (3) and (5) to (10),

  • section 116 (in so far as it relates to the import, acquisition, release or marketing of genetically modified organisms),

  • section 117,

  • section 118(1)(a), (c), (e) to (l), (m) (in so far as it relates to section 111), (n) and (o) and (2) to (10),

  • sections 119 to 121,

  • section 122(1)(c) to (h) (in so far as those paragraphs are not already in force), (2) and (3),

  • section 123(1) to (6) and (8), and

  • section 127.

section 111(6A) is inserted by regulation 13 of the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/).

section 112(5)(b) is amended by regulation 9 of the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/).
