8.—(1) 3The Superannuation Act 1972 is modified as follows.

(2) In section 15(5) (members of police forces, special constables and police cadets)(1)—

(a)after sub-paragraph (b) insert—

or

(ba)regulations made under section 48 of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012, as extended by article 14 of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012 (Consequential Provisions and Modifications) Order 2013 (special constables and police cadets),; and

(b)omit sub-paragraphs (c) and (d).

(3) In Schedule 1 (kinds of employment), for the entry “Employment by the Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland”(2) substitute “Employment by the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner”.

1972 c.11. Section 15 has been amended by the Police Pensions Act 1976 (c.35), Schedule 3 and the Police Act 1996 (c.16), Schedule 7, paragraph 19.

This entry was added by the Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) Order 2008 (S.I. 2008/1891), article 2. There are other amendments to Schedule 1 not relevant to this Order.
