The Enterprise Ulster (Continuation of Functions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1986

Title and commencementN.I.

1.  This Order may be cited as the Enterprise Ulster (Continuation of Functions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 and shall come into operation 14 days after the day on which it is made.

InterpretationN.I.

2.  The [1954 c. 33 (N.I.)] Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Continuation of certain functions of Enterprise UlsterN.I.

3.—(1) The functions of Enterprise Ulster under Article 4 of the [1973 NI 16] Enterprise Ulster (Northern Ireland) Order 1973 shall, so far as they relate to new projects for the carrying out of works or activities, be deemed not to have ceased on 31st March 1986; and in this paragraph “new project” means any project the works or activities for the implementation of which had not been approved by Enterprise Ulster on or before that date.

(2) The limitation on the duration of the functions of Enterprise Ulster so far as they relate to new projects is abolished; and accordingly Article 12(1) and (2) of that Order of 1973 is hereby repealed.
