Whereas a draft of this Order has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:
Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974(1) and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Appropriation (No. 3) (Northern Ireland) Order 1987 and shall come into operation forthwith.
2. The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(2) shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
3. The Department of Finance and Personnel may issue out of the Consolidated Fund and apply towards making good the supply granted to Her Majesty for the service of the year ending on 31st March 1988 the sum of eighteen million, four hundred and ninety-six thousand pounds.
4.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Department of Finance and Personnel may borrow on the credit of the aforesaid sum, any sum or sums not exceeding in the whole nine million pounds.
(2) Any money so borrowed shall be repaid, with any interest due thereon, out of the Consolidated Fund at any date not later than 31st March 1988.
5. The sum granted by Article 3 out of the Consolidated Fund is appropriated for the service and purpose expressed in Schedule 1.
6. The enactments mentioned in Schedule 2 are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order authorises the issue out of the Consolidated Fund of Northern Ireland of a further sum for the year ending 31st March 1988 and appropriates that sum for a specified service in Northern Ireland. In addition, the Order repeals certain spent enactments.
