Transitional provision relating to Article 7

18.  For the purposes of the transition to the duties imposed by Article 7 on district councils, regulations may make provision—

(a)modifying that Article, or

(b)modifying Part II of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1992(1) (competition rules for functional work or works contracts).
