1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Roads (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2004.
(2) This Order comes into operation on the expiration of two months from the day on which it is made.
2. The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 (c.33) applies to this Order as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.
3.—(1) The Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 (NI 15) is amended as follows.
(2) In Article 133 omit paragraphs (2) and (3) (proceedings which may be taken concurrently with proceedings under Schedule 8).
(3) After that Article insert—
133A. All or any of the following proceedings required to be taken by this Order for the purposes of, or in connection with, a road or proposed road may (so far as practicable) be taken concurrently—
(a)proceedings required to be taken under Schedule 8 (procedure for making of orders mentioned in Article 133(1));
(b)proceedings required to be taken under Articles 67 to 67B (procedure for environmental impact assessment);
(c)proceedings required to be taken under Article 113 and Schedule 7 (procedure for making vesting orders).” .
