Superannuation (Secretary to The Mental Health Commission) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999

The Department of Finance and Personnel in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 3(4) and (7) of the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972(1) and now vested in it(2) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Secretary to The Mental Health Commission) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999 and shall come into operation on 6th December 1999.

2.  There shall be added to the employments and offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 with effect from 1st April 1999 employment as Secretary to The Mental Health Commission(3).

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order adds employment as Secretary to The Mental Health Commission to the employments and offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 (‘the 1972 Order’) for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It is retrospective by virtue of Article 3(7) of the 1972 Order.
