Notice to employers

34.—(1) Where the Board have been given notice by the Department under regulation 11(5)(b) that a borrower may be required to make repayments under this Part on and after a specified date the Board shall give notice to any person who to their knowledge is an employer of the borrower requiring the employer to make deductions of repayments from emoluments paid to the borrower in accordance with these Regulations.

(2) A notice under paragraph (1) shall contain—

(a)the employee’s name;

(b)his national insurance number;

(c)the date on and after which the employer is required to make deductions.

(3) Where the Board have been given notice by the Department under regulation 11(5)(e) that repayments shall no longer be required to be made by a borrower under this Part after a particular date the Board shall give notice to any person who to their knowledge is an employer of that borrower requiring him not to make deductions, or to cease making such deductions accordingly.

(4) A notice under paragraph (3) shall contain—

(a)the employee’s name;

(b)his national insurance number;

(c)the date on and after which no deduction is required to be made.
