The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 79 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2001.
2. The provisions of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 30th March 2001.

This Commencement Order, which is the second to be made under the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 brings into force on 30th March 2001 the provisions of that Act specified in the Schedule to the Order.
