Road Vehicles Lighting (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003

The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 55(1) and (2) and 110(2) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations shall be cited as the Road Vehicles Lighting (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 25th February 2003.
Amendment to Schedule 19
2. In Part III of Schedule 19 to the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000(2) for diagrams 1 to 5 there shall be substituted the diagrams set out in the Schedule.

Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
These Regulations correct an error in the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000 (S.R. 2000 No. 169) by inserting dimensions to diagrams in Part III of Schedule 19 showing rear markings prescribed for motor vehicles first used before 24th January 1996 and trailers manufactured before 24th January 1996.
