Citation, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation –

(a)for the purposes of this regulation and regulation 2, on 5th October 2003;

(b)for all other purposes on 6th October 2003.

(2) In these Regulations –

“the Decisions and Appeals Regulations” means the Housing Benefit (Decisions and Appeals) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001(1);

“the Housing Benefit Regulations” means the Housing Benefit (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987(2);

“the State Pension Credit Regulations” means the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003(3);

(3) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(4) shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.
