Seed Potatoes (Tuber and Label Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development1, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 1 of the Seeds Act (Northern Ireland) 19652 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, after consultation with representatives of such interests as appear to it to be concerned, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Seed Potatoes (Tuber and Label Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 15th November 2003.

Amendment of the Seed Potatoes (Tuber and Label Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19822

For the Schedule to the Seed Potatoes (Tuber and Label Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19823 there shall be substituted –

Revocation3

The Seed Potatoes (Tuber and Label Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20005 are hereby revoked.

These Regulations revoke and replace the Seed Potatoes (Tuber and Label Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000.

The Regulations increase the fee payable for the inspection of seed potatoes from £3·40 per tonne or part of a tonne to £3·55 per tonne or part of a tonne.

The fee payable for the provision of official labels, whether or not the details have been printed thereon by the Department, is unchanged.
