Regulation 2 of these Regulations makes amendments to the Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Prescribed Diseases) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1986 –to remove 20 specified diseases from the presumption that they are due to the nature of the specified employment;to remove references to a determination in the manner provided by Part X of the Social Security (Adjudication) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1984; andto remove references to 7 diseases due to chemical agents and change the entries for other diseases due to chemical agents.
