Marketing of Potatoes (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005

Coming into operation

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development1, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 3(3), 7(2) and 11(1) of the Marketing of Potatoes Act (Northern Ireland) 19642 and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, and with the approval of the Department of Finance and Personnel3 hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and Commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Marketing of Potatoes (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2005.

Amendment of the Marketing of Potatoes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19892

The Marketing of Potatoes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19894 shall be amended as follows—

a

in paragraph (1) of regulation 7 (Fees for the inspection of ware potatoes sent out of Northern Ireland) for “£3.75” there shall be substituted “£3.90”,

b

in regulation 8 (Fees for the examination of ware potatoes for sale in Northern Ireland) for “£3.75” there shall be substituted “£3.90”.

Revocation3

The Marketing of Potatoes (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20045 are herby revoked.

These Regulations revoke and replace the Marketing of Potatoes (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004.

The Regulations increase the fee payable for the inspection or examination of ware potatoes from £3.75 per tonne or part of a tonne to £3.90 per tonne or part of a tonne.
