The Department for Social Development, being a Department designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to measures relating to discrimination, in exercise of the powers conferred by that section and by Articles 63(5), 66(4), and 166(1) and (3) of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 19953 and now vested in it4 and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
