The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development(1), in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 16(1) and (2) of the Agriculture and Fisheries (Financial Assistance) (Northern Ireland) Order 1987(2) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, and with the approval of the Department of Finance and Personnel, hereby makes the following Scheme:
1. The Scheme may be cited as the Farm Nutrient Management (Amendment) Scheme (Northern Ireland) 2005 and shall come into operation on 29th September 2005.
2.—(1) The Farm Nutrient Management Scheme (Northern Ireland) 2005(3) shall be amended as follows:
(2) In Article 3(1) (Payment and amount of grants), for the words “40 per cent” there shall be substituted “60 per cent”.

This Scheme amends the Farm Nutrient Management Scheme (Northern Ireland) 2005 (S.R. 2005 No. 5).
The rate of grant available is increased from 40 per cent to 60 per cent on the first £85,000 of eligible expenditure incurred by an agricultural business for this purpose.
