FISHERIES

Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

Coming into operation

1st January 2006

The Foyle, Carlingford and Irish Lights Commission, in exercise of its powers under section 13(1) (amended by section 34(3) of the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999(1) and section 5(1) of the British-Irish Agreement (Amendment) Act 2002(1)) and 13(2) of the Foyle Fisheries Act 1952(1) which stand transferred to it under section 34(1) of the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(1) and (2) of the Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952(2) and now vested in it(3) and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, with the approval of the Government of Ireland and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, under the agreement made between those Governments on 19th November 2002(4) and section 5(1) of the British-Irish Agreement (Amendment) Act 2002, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2006.

Amendment of the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) Regulations 2001

2.  For the Schedule to the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) Regulations 2001(5) there shall be substituted the Schedule as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Revocation

3.  The Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) (Amendment) Regulations 2004(6) are hereby revoked.

These Regulations amend the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Licensing of Fishing Engines) Regulations 2001 by prescribing new licence fees for 2006. The 2006 fees and the increases from 2005 are as follows:
