Coming into operation
The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment1, being the Department concerned2, makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 17(1) to (6)3 and 55(2) of, and paragraphs 1(1) and (2), 7(1), 8, 13, 14(1) and 15 of Schedule 3 to, the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 19784 (“the 1978 Order”) and Article 3(2) of the Offshore, and Pipelines, Safety (Northern Ireland) Order 19925.
In accordance with Article 46(1)6 of the 1978 Order, the powers exercised give effect without modifications to proposals submitted to it by the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland7 under Article 13(1A)8 of the 1978 Order.
In accordance with Article 46(3) of the 1978 Order, the Executive has consulted the bodies which appeared to it to be appropriate.
