The Department for Regional Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006(1) makes the following Order:
Citation and interpretation
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Water and Sewerage Services (2006 Order) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007.
(2) In this Order—
“the 2006 Order” means the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.
Appointed days
2.—(1) To the extent that it is not already in operation, so much of Article 280 of the 2006 Order as is necessary to enable regulations under Article 7B(5) of the Water (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 to be made shall come into operation on the date of this Order.
(2) The provisions of the 2006 Order specified in the Schedule shall come into operation on 25th May 2007 to the extent that they are not already in operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order commences Articles 280, 290, 291, 308 and Schedules 12 and 13 to the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (insofar as they are not already in operation) on 4th and 25th May 2007, to the extent specified.
