The Secretary of State makes the following Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 1(3) of the Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 2008(1):
1. This Order may be cited as the Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 2008 (Commencement) Order 2008.
2. The Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 2008, in so far as not already in operation, shall come into operation on 2nd February 2009.

This Order commences the Sexual Offences (Northern Ireland) Order 2008 as from the 2nd February 2009. Part 1 and Articles 80 and 82 of the 2008 Order came into operation one week after the day on which that Order was made.
