The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30(1) of the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009(1):
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Health and Social Care (Reform) (2009 Act) (Consequential Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2009.
(2) In this Order—
“the Order” means the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001(2).
2. In Schedule 4 of the Order (Interpretation), in paragraph (c) of the definition of “local supervising authority” for “Health and Social Services Boards;” substitute “the Regional Agency for Public Health and Social Well-being;”.
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends Schedule 4 of the Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001 as the role of local supervising authority will become the responsibility of the Regional Agency for Public Health and Social Well-being on 1st April 2009.
