Coming into operation
24th April 2009
1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Health and Social Care Bodies) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009 and shall come into operation on 24th April 2009.
2. There shall be added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 with effect from 1st April 2009, employment in—
(a)the Regional Health and Social Care Board(3);
(b)the Regional Agency for Public Health and Social Well-being(4); and
(c)the Regional Business Services Organisation(5).

This Order adds employment in the Regional Health and Social Care Board, the Regional Agency for Public Health and Well-being and the Regional Business Services Organisation to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It has retrospective effect by virtue of Article 3(7) of that Order.

The Regional Health and Social Care Board was established under section 7 of the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 (2009 (C1 N.I.))
The Regional Agency for Health and Social Well-being was established under section 12 of the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 (2009 C1 (N.I.))
The Regional Business Services Organisation was established under section 14 of the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 (2009 C1 N.I.))
