The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 118(1) of the Pensions (No. 2) Act (Northern Ireland) 2008(1).
Citation
1. This Order may be cited as the Pensions (2008 No. 2 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009.
Commencement of provisions
2. The following provisions of the Pensions (No. 2) Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 shall come into operation on 29th June 2009—
(a)section 103 (amendments of provisions of the 2005 Order relating to contribution notices or financial support directions) in so far as it is not already in operation, and
(b)in Schedule 8 (contribution notices and financial support directions under 2005 Order)—
(i)paragraph 4, and
(ii)paragraphs 1, 2, 8 and 15 in so far as they are not already in operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into operation the following provisions of the Pensions (No. 2) Act (Northern Ireland) 2008, relating to contribution notices and financial support directions, on 29th June 2009—
section 103 in so far as it is not already in operation;
paragraph 4 of Schedule 8, and
paragraphs 1, 2, 8 and 15 of that Schedule in so far as they are not already in operation.

The following provisions of the Pensions (No. 2) Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 have been brought into operation by earlier commencement orders as from the dates shown.
