The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 4 (1) and 27(1) and (2) of the Safety of Sports Grounds (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (1), makes the following Order after consultation with persons or bodies as appeared to it appropriate:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009 and shall come into operation on 31st December 2009.
Designation of sports grounds
2. The sports grounds specified in the Schedule (being sports grounds which in the opinion of the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure have accommodation for more than 5,000 spectators) are hereby designated as sports grounds requiring a safety certificate.
