The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 41(1) of the Child Maintenance Act (Northern Ireland) 2008(1).
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Child Maintenance (2008 Act) (Commencement No. 7) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009.
(2) In this Order, unless the context requires otherwise, any reference to a numbered section or Schedule is a reference to a section of, or Schedule to, the Child Maintenance Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
2.—(1) Section 22 (power to treat liability as satisfied) comes into operation on 26th November 2009 for the purpose of making regulations and on 25th January 2010 for all other purposes.
(2) Section 29 (recovery of arrears from deceased’s estate) comes into operation on 26th November 2009.

This Order brings into operation provisions of the Child Maintenance Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
Article 2(1) brings into operation section 22 (power to treat liability as satisfied) on 26th November 2009 for the purposes of making regulations and on 25th January 2010 for all other purposes.
Article 2(2) brings section 29 (recovery of arrears from deceased’s estate) into operation on 26th November 2009.
