The Housing (Amendment) (2011 Act) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011

The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 25 of the Housing (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011(1).

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing (Amendment) (2011 Act) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011.

(2) In this Order “the 2011 Act” means the Housing (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011.

Appointed days

2.—(1) 30th June 2011 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the 2011 Act specified in Schedule 1.

(2) 1st September 2011 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the 2011 Act specified in Schedule 2.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

This Order brings sections 3 to 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15 and 17 to 24 of the Housing (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 (“the Act”) into operation on 30th June 2011 and brings sections 12, 13 and 16 of the Act into operation on 1st September 2011.
