The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 18 of the Dogs (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011(1).

Citation and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Dogs (Amendment) (2011 Act) (Commencement No.1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011.

(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Dogs (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011.

Appointed Day

2.  The day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Act listed in the Schedule is 28th July 2011.
