The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 18 of the Licensing and Registration of Clubs (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011(1).

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Licensing and Registration of Clubs Amendment (2011 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2012.

Appointed Day

2.  1st May 2012 is the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Act specified in column 1 of the Schedule, for the purposes set out in column 2 of the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

Provisions of the ActSubject Matter
Schedule 1 apart from:Table of offences with penalty points for licensed premises
Article 69A(4) – Keeping premises open after closure made under Article 69A;
Article 57A(5) – Contravention of regulations as to irresponsible drinks promotion;
Article 57B(2) – Contravention of regulations as to pricing of intoxicating liquor;
Article 69B(6) – Permitting premises to be open in contravention of closure order under Article 69B; and
Article 69F(5) – Permitting premises to be open etc. in contravention of court’s decision about closure order.
Schedule 2 apart from:Table of offences with penalty points for registered clubs
Article 40(2A) – Contravention of regulations concerning accounts;
Article 41A(4) – Keeping premises open after order made under Article 41A;
Article 31A(4) – Contravention of regulations as to irresponsible drinks promotions;
Article 31B(2) – Contravention of regulations as to pricing of intoxicating liquor;
Article 41B(6) – Permitting premises to be kept open after closure order under Article 41B; and
Article 41F(5) – Permitting premises to be kept open etc. in contravention of court’s decision about closure order.

This Order provides for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Licensing and Registration of Clubs (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 listed in the Schedule to this Order, on 1st May 2012.
