Superannuation (Maze/Long Kesh Development Corporation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013

The Department of Finance and Personnel makes the following Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 3(4) and (7) of the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972(1) and now vested in it(2).

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Maze/Long Kesh Development Corporation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2013, shall come into operation on 22nd April 2013 and shall have effect from 10th September 2012.

Addition to list of employments

2. There shall be added to the kinds of employment listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972, employment by the Maze/Long Kesh Development Corporation(3).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order adds employment by the Maze/Long Kesh Development Corporation to the kinds of employment listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It has retrospective effect from 10 September 2012 by virtue of Article 3(7) of that Order.
