In Article 10(4) of the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1990 (power to exempt discrimination in favour of lone parents in connection with training)10—

before sub-paragraph (a) insert—

“couple” has the meaning given by Article 45(1) of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015

for sub-paragraph (b) substitute—

“lone parent” means a person who—

i

is not a member of a couple, and

ii

is responsible for, and a member of the same household, as a child;
