Coming into operation
The Department for Infrastructure1 makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 and section 56(1) and (5) of the Finance Act 19733.
The Department for Infrastructure is designated4 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures relating to the carriage of passengers and goods by road.
In accordance with section 56(1) and (5) of the Finance Act 1973, the Department of Finance5 consents to the making of these Regulations.
