The Civil Legal Aid (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 36(1) and (2)(a), 37(1) and 42 of the Legal Aid (Scotland) Act 19861 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Legal Aid (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 7th July 2000.

In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Civil Legal Aid (Scotland) Regulations 19962.

Amendment of principal Regulations2

The principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with the following paragraphs.

In paragraph 13(1) of Schedule 23

a

after the word “column” in sub-paragraphs (b) and (c), for the figure “2” there is substituted “(2)”;

b

at the end of sub-paragraphs (b) and (c), there is inserted “as at the date when the computation period began”; and

c

in sub-paragraph (c), for “2(1)(c)” there is substituted “2(1)(b)”.

These Regulations amend the Civil Legal Aid (Scotland) Regulations 1996 (“the principal Regulations”) so as to make minor technical and drafting amendments.
