Citation and interpretation
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Water Services etc. (Scotland) Act 2005 (Commencement No. 1 and Savings) Order 2005.
(2) In this Order–
“the 2002 Act” means the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 2002(1);
“the 2005 Act” means the Water Services etc. (Scotland) Act 2005;
“the Commissioner” means the Water Industry Commissioner for Scotland(2); and
“the Commission” means the Water Industry Commission for Scotland.

The office of the Commissioner was established by section 12 of the Water Industry Act 1999 (c. 9) and continued by section 1 of the 2002 Act. Section 1 of the 2005 Act establishes the Commission which replaces that office.
