The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 75(2) of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990(1), hereby make the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990 (Commencement No. 16) Order 2007.

Appointed day

2.  19th March 2007 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990:–

(a)section 25;

(b)section 26;

(c)section 27;

(d)section 28;

(e)section 29; and

(f)Schedule 2.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 19th March 2007 sections 25 29 of and Schedule 2 to the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990 (“the Act”). Sections 25 29 and Schedule 2 provide for professional bodies to apply for rights of audience and rights to conduct litigation.
