Designation of Overseas Adoptions
12. Despite the repeal of sections 60(4) (orders, rules and regulations)(1) and 65(2) (interpretation: overseas adoption)(2) of the 1978 Act, the following Orders continue to have effect as they did immediately before the appointed day and are deemed to have been made under section 67 (meaning of “overseas adoption”) of the Act:—
(a)the Adoption (Designation of Overseas Adoptions) Order 1973(3); and
(b)the Adoption (Designation of Overseas Adoptions) (Variation) (Scotland) Order 1995(4).
