Notification where BVD finding is “not negative”18

This article applies where under article 13(1)(b)(ii) the keeper of a breeding herd or breeding bovine animal is informed that the herd or animal has a “not negative” BVD finding.

The keeper must, unless the keeper has a reasonable excuse, give the keeper of any other breeding herd or breeding bovine animal which is kept on the same holding a notice of—
a
that finding; and
b
any change to that finding.

Notice under paragraph (2) is to be within 7 days of the keeper being informed of the finding or change or, if later, the other herd or animal being first kept on the holding after the finding or change.
