Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2000 (Appointed Day Instrument 2000)

Whereas the Church of England (Micellaneous Provisions) Measure received the Royal Assent on the twenty eighth day of July 2000.

And Whereas by section 22 of the said Measure it is provided that the Measure shall come into force on such date as the Archbishops of Canterbury and York may jointly appoint and that different days may be appointed for different provisions.

And Whereas by an Instrument under Our hands dated the thirtieth day of August 2000 we did appoint that certain provisions should come into force on the first day of September 2000 but the remaining provisions of the said Measure have not been brought into force by us.

Now therefore we GEORGE LEONARD by Divine Providence Archbishop of Canterbury and DAVID MICHAEL by Divine Providence Archbishop of York do hereby jointly appoint that the following provisions of the said Measure shall come into force on the first day of January 2001, that is to say -
