The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the Crown Benefices (Parish Representatives) Measure 2010 F1, make the following Instrument:

1. This Instrument may be cited as the Crown Benefices (Parish Representatives) Measure 2010 (Appointed Day) Instrument 2010.
Appointed dayE
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the Crown Benefices (Parish Representatives) Measure 2010 is 1st January 2011.

Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Instrument)
This Instrument brings into force, on 1st January 2011, the whole of the Crown Benefices (Parish Representatives) Measure 2010. The Measure makes provision for the appointment of lay parish representatives to approve the selection of incumbents of benefices that are in the patronage of the Crown (including Lord Chancellor's patronage), the Duchy of Lancaster and the Duchy of Cornwall.
