36.  In regulation 6A (provision of information for purposes of contracting-out)(1), for “widow or widower” substitute “widow, widower or surviving civil partner”.

37.  In regulation 12 (circumstances in which minimum contributions are not to be paid), in paragraphs (6), (7) and (8)(2)

(a)for “widow or widower” substitute “widow, widower or surviving civil partner”;

(b)after “unmarried” insert “or was not a civil partner at the time of his or her death”.

Paragraphs (6), (7) and (8) were amended by virtue of Schedule 2 to the Social Security Contributions (Transfer of Functions, etc.) Act 1999 (c.2).
