This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 33(2)(f) of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005(1).
In accordance with section 172(5) of that Act, a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (Disclosure of Information by SOCA) Order 2010 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
(2) In this Order “national anti-doping organisation” has the meaning given in Appendix 1 to the World Anti-Doping Code which was adopted by the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Foundation Board on 17th November 2007 and which came into effect on 1st January 2009(2).
2. The functions of United Kingdom Anti-Doping Limited (a company limited by guarantee with registration number 6990867) when it is acting as a national anti-doping organisation are designated for the purposes of section 33 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005, being functions which appear to the Secretary of State to be functions of a public nature.

This Order makes provision in relation to disclosures of information by the Serious Organised Crime Agency established under Part 1 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005. Article 2 designates further functions (in addition to the functions listed in section 33 of the Act and in the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (Disclosure of Information by SOCA) Order 2008) for the purposes of the exercise of which the Agency may disclose information.
