The Lord President of the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 44 and 105 of the Local Government Act 20001, makes the following Regulations.
The Lord President of the Council has consulted the Electoral Commission about these Regulations in accordance with section 44(3A) of the Local Government Act 2000.
In accordance with section 105(6) of the Local Government Act 2000, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
